I would like to take a moment to update you on what has been a busy Spring in Trenton and around District 37.
Suiting Our Warriors Foundation “Dress Our Vets” Clothing Drive
I joined the “Dress Our Vets” clothing drive sponsored by the Suiting Warriors Foundation to help female veterans transition back into civilian life. Our veterans give so much of themselves so it is an honor to give back by providing much-needed professional attire for job interviews and work in office settings. The clothing drive was a success and I look forward to doing it again in the future.

Sexual Assault Awareness on College Campuses
Throughout April, I commemorated Sexual Assault Awareness month by promoting legislation to stop sexual assault and help survivors. I traveled to colleges across New Jersey, including Fairleigh Dickinson University, to discuss on-campus safety. I hope that by the time we reach Sexual Assault Awareness month next year we see a change in culture at colleges and new laws in place to protect students.

Creating Community Inclusion through Special Needs Housing
As Chair of the Assembly Human Services Committee, I often hear that one of the greatest challenges for individuals with special needs is finding homes in their communities. District 37 municipalities have proven to be welcoming and open to individuals with developmental disabilities and other special needs. I am proud to represent communities that promote inclusion and diversity.
